First time moving my IP-350-3

This summer I'll be hauling my IP-350-3 from Florida up to the Northeast and I'm aware of the road height restrictions. After removing the sails, bimini, and dodger, should the Hoyt Boom come off too, or can it be strapped down? Any advice from experienced shippers would help

the boom itself might not be the highest point, a loose or improperly secured boom is a major hazard.
The forces on the road are incredible, and if a strap breaks, that boom becomes a heavy projectile.
Use heavy-duty ratchet straps and make sure you're using padding to protect both the boom and the boat's finish. A good rule of thumb is to treat it like a bomb. secure it so that even a head on collision won't dislodge it

Have you checked with the transport company about their maximum height limits, or do you think leaving the Hoyt Boom on and securely strapped could safely clear bridges and overpasses?

Thanks for the warning, I'll secure the Hoyt Boom with heavy-duty ratchet straps and padding, treating it like a bomb. Would you recommend removing it entirely for extra safety?
